The story of Saagæ rings
Saagæ was literally born out of love. Handmade, and using the purest and the most sustainable precious metals, Saagæ wedding rings symbolize the infinite vow that two people make to one another. Created by fire (the casting & smithing) and earth (the material we cast in), the Saagæ ring collections came into being after many intimate and heartfelt conversations about love, and years of smithing custom wedding- and engagement rings. Certain love themes kept coming up. They shaped the ideas and themes of the Saagæ ring collections Liesbeth Busman is personally designing and sculpting to this day. After a good walk in nature, Liesbeth makes and sculpts her jewelry in her campervan, in her off-grid cave house in Spain, or in her spacious atelier in The Hague.
The Saagæ rings draw inspiration from the timeless dynamics of nature, which shape and create landscapes while forming new life. By leaving traces of the process behind, these elements serve as small reminders of what once was, and create the foundations for what will be. The small irregularities in the handmade jewelry, the unintended beauty, represent the authenticity of love in day-to-day life.
